Valdosta - A Valdosta man is headed to prison for murder.
A Lowndes County jury found 20 year-old Roosevelt Lawrence guilty of murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a murder.
He was sentenced to life in prison plus five years for the gun charge immediately after the trial.
Lawrence was convicted of the July 2006 shooting death of 24 year-old Mason Harper.
Harper was found in his car with a shotgun wound to the head.
