Albany-  Traffic came to a standstill in the southbound lanes of the bypass late Friday morning when a trailer full of debris overturned near Jefferson Street. 

Traffic backed up for a quarter mile after the trailer dumped garbage across both lanes just south of the Jefferson Street onramp.

Albany Police and clean up crews were called to the scene to remove the debris from the roadway so traffic could get by. Charges for the driver are pending.
