Leesburg - The state cheerleading meet starts Friday in Columbus.
The Lee County cheerleaders have big expectations heading into their final competition of the season.
The Lady Trojans just won their ninth consecutive region title.
Last year, they finished third in the state. A performance that gives them confidence they can bring home a state title this weekend.
Lee County senior Chelseas Goodson said "One of the things that we do that is really cool is single based stunts that are only done on co-ed teams. It is something that sets us apart from other teams."
Lee County senior Samantha Brooks said "We are very, very confident in our routine. We have made a lot of changes this year. It has been stressful but it has helped us a lot. It has built us as a team."
The state cheerleading competition starts with sectionals on Friday morning in Columbus.
