Cairo-- While going to a meeting at the Grady County Courthouse, Commissioner Charles Renaud says cigarette butts were lying around on the lawn and on top of lights along the sidewalk.

He proposed an ordinance to stop smoking on all county property except it designated areas.   "I just thought it was a bad image. People coming to Grady county that shouldn't, when they come to the courthouse that shouldn't be the image we put out to the public," says Renaud.

Tuesday night the commissioners passed the ordinance. No smoking is allowed on any county property except for right of ways.
