Sparks man denied bond, charged with murder

November 8, 2007

Cook County - Bond was denied Thursday for the Cook County man charged with killing his girlfriend.

Deputies charged 30 year-old Christopher Reese with murder, aggravated assault, possession of a knife in the commission of a crime, false imprisonment and concealing a death.

They say he got into an argument with his girlfriend Connie Roy at their home in Sparks last Thursday.

They say when Roy tried to leave, Reese chased her through the house and into the yard where he stabbed her in the neck with a kitchen knife.

Investigators say he hid her body in the trunk of her car and tried to commit suicide two times before he was found Monday when Roy's family came looking for her.

Deputies discovered her body later that day.
