Albany- Two people are now charged with murder in the Sunday gang related shooting that killed 19 year old Timothy Murray.
Seventeen year old Erick Jackson and 20 year old Matdrick Montell Giddens are facing felony murder, aggravated assault, criminal damaging to property, gang participation, and cruelty to children charges for the fight and gunfire in the 900 block of Rosedale Avenue. Police don't know which one fired the fatal shot, but today they did say Murray wasn't armed. Police also believe several gangs were involved in this shooting.
"Right now it's a mixture of several. We don't want to single any gang out in particular. All that's under investigation, but we can tell you we have some Crip affiliation, Eight-tray and Rattler," said Lt. Kendra Wilson, Albany Police.
Additional charges of gang participation were filed against Rodreges Strum, Ronald Taylor, and Desmond and Dante Oliver. Police still want to question 19 year old Terrence Brooks, also known as T.B. If anyone has information on his whereabouts, they're asked to call Crimestoppers at 436-TIPS.
