Sylvester -- The Worth County football team has a great sense of timing.
Last season the Rams used wins against Dougherty and Westover in the last two weeks of the regular season to make a late push and grab the fourth-seed in Region 1-AAA.
This year, Worth County has a chance to do even better.
The Rams head into Friday night's game with the Patriots at 2-2 in the region, and a win could move them as high as second in the standings.
Worth County head coach Harris Rainbow says his team has been improving since week one.
"We've done a good job of our kids really committing to getting better every week," says Rainbow, "and when you get better every week, pinpoint what you're doing wrong, and fix those things, you're going to be better at the end of the season that you are at the beginning. Great teams get better throughout the season, and we feel like we're getting to be a great team."
Worth County plays Westover at Hugh Mills Stadium Friday at 7:30 pm.
