Valdosta -- The Valdosta State women's basketball team is looking forward to a strong season this year.
The Lady Blazers are coming off a 24-7 campaign, a first place finish in the Gulf South Conference East, and a trip to the semi-finals of the NCAA South regionals.
Conference coach-of-the-year Kiley Hill returns all twelve players from last years team, and also adds former Worth County stand-out and Georgia Southern transfer Taylor Youngblood.
Hills says returning everybody answers a lot of questions teams usually face heading into a season.
"We have a lot of unknowns that have been answered for us," says Hill, "but there's still some things out there that we have to work on, we got to get better, and hopefully don't get satisfied with where we are right now."
Valdosta State is ranked 13th in the preseason Top 25, and open the year at home Thursday, November 15th against Warner Southern.
