Albany --  You'll be able to snuggle under the covers for an extra hour Saturday night.

Don't forget to set your clock back one hour before you go to bed.Standard time will return at 2:00 AM Sunday morning.

Firefighters say time isn't the only thing that you need to worry about. This is the perfect time to make sure you're safe.

"The state of Georgia recommends that you change the batteries in your smoke detectors every time the time changes which is twice a year. Its important to have a smoke alarm because if you are sleeping and a fire starts, it will wake you up because nothing else will," said Albany Firefighter, Devon L Hobbs.

It is estimated that 30 percent of households have smoke detectors that do not work.

Firefighters also recommend that you replace any smoke alarms older than eight years.
