Columbus -- Albany State beat rival Fort Valley State for the sixth straight time Saturday, as the Rams win the Fountain City Classic 32-27.
LiRonnie Davis busted up the middle for a 65-yard touchdown run of 4th-and-2 with about one minute left in the game to give ASU the victory.
The Wildcats had taken a 27-26 lead with 2 1/2 minutes to play, thanks to a 36-yard Jake Grubbs field goal.
Albany State head coach Mike White says the game was typical of the Blue and Gold Super Bowl.
"It's Fort Valley - Albany State," says White. "It's a battle. You have to expect to get punched, and you gotta be ready to punch back."
Kisan Flakes is the Rams game MVP. ASU finishes the regular season 8-2 and finds out a week from Sunday if they are in the Division II playoffs.
