Albany - Westover cross country teams sweep the region 1-AAA meet for another year.
In the girls race, Cairo's JaCourtney Alexander outsprinted Westover'sMonique English to the finish line to finish first by five seconds.
Right behind Monique was twin sister Moneka English.
The English twins second and third place finish powers the Lady Patriots to the region title with Cairo in second and Worth County finishes in third.
The Westover boys win by a bigger margin in the boys race.
Patriots' Bridger Ferrell and Shayam Patel finish first and second and Westover scores 18 points.
Monroe was second, Cairo third and Dougherty finishes in fourth.
Lee County won the 1-AAAA boys meet and the Lady Trojans finished second.
The top four teams advance to the state cross country meet in Carrollton.
