Albany - The Darton Lady Cavaliers open their basketball season Friday night with their annual Darton Classic.
Head coach Laura Blackwell has a young team with nine freshman and a sophomore transfer.
The Lady Cavs do have post playes Shyconia Oliver and Justina Brownlee back.
Brownlee will start the season still recovering from an offseason knee injury.
Coach Blackwell hopes the inside play can carry Darton early in the season.
Laura Blackwell said "Our outside game is young but at the same time we have got some quick, fast and some sharpshooters outside the three point circle. So, we are looking for that also."
The Darton Classic starts with ABAC Fillies playing Enterprise at 5:30 p..m. on Friday and Darton and North Florida playing at 7:30 p.m..
On Saturday ABAC plays North Florida at 2:00 p..m and Darton and Enterprise tip at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
