Young woman killed in wreck

November 1, 2007

Colquitt County -- A Tallahassee woman was killed after running a stop sign and slamming into a minivan in Colquitt County.

Twenty-one-year-old Anne Ruppert slammed into the driver's side door of the van at the intersection of Highway 37 and Highway 202.

The van was driven by 19-year old Pablo Garcia, who was taken to a hospital. Three of his four passengers were cut and bruised in the crash.

He told troopers he tried to swerve before Ruppert hit him. He's charged with driving without a license.
