Suspected dealers busted for pot

November 1, 2007

Lee County --  A Lee County man got more of a trick than a treat when sheriff's deputies knocked on his door Wednesday evening, and arrested him for possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Lee County's narcotics agents have been watching the home at 139-B Winding Way for three months, and arrested 27-year-old Carlos Ricardo Walker, charging him with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.

"The reason is that this time of the year, they've been growing it during the summer, and we'll be seeing more of it," said Lee County Sheriff Harold Breeden.

Investigators also arrested Marcus Dewayne Lewis of Albany, charging him with driving with an invalid license and possession with intent to distribute.

Investigators say Lewis had just made a large purchase at the Winding Way residence and they believe he was going to resell what he bought.
