Albany -- WALB viewers help partially solve one our Most Wanted cases, and return an expensive piece of equipment to its owner.
On WALB's Most Wanted, we told you about the nationwide lookout for a missing Harvest Unlimited truck driver and tractor trailer. Shortly after the story aired, Harvest Unlimited truck owner James Wallace's phone started ringing off the hook.
Callers said the big rig was in the vicinity of Alice Street.
Wallace inspected the tractor trailer today, and a one thousand dollar reward will be split between a man and a woman Wallace says helped the most.
"One man gave us a general area where he knew it was, because he had been with Donald, not with Donald, but with whoever had the truck, Thursday he had seen it. A young lady last night after your broadcast saw it, pulled up beside it, took our numbers off it, and called me, and then went back and watched the truck until the police came," said Wallace.
The truck and its load of Dixie Crystal sugar is valued around $140,000. Wallace says some callers said they were approached about buying the sugar.
