Albany -- A steady flow of voters was seen at the Riverfront Resource Center in Albany, known as the Candy Room on Pine Avenue, Monday morning.
Albany voters are casting their ballots to decide the city's Mayor and three City Commission races, as well as a vote on the redevelopment powers law for the city.
Voters have to show a picture Identification to vote early, but there are six different ID's that will be accepted, and if you need a picture ID you can have one made at the Voter Registration office.
Election supervisors said they wanted to move the early voting poll from the Civic Center because of other events going on there. Elections Manager Noel Buttner said "Really this building will be better, because we won't have the confusion of other people coming in when the voting is going."
Any registered voter can cast a ballot during the early voting period this week. In Albany, you can vote at the Candy Room, next to the Albany Riverquarium, or at the elections office in the Government Center from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, through Friday.
There will be no voting Monday, November 5th. The local precincts will be open from 7 AM until 7 PM on election day, November Sixth.
