Albany -- Another major event was underway Saturday in Albany as hundreds of BMX racers were at The Parks at Chehaw competing in the 2007 BMX Fall Classic.

Some of the world's best BMX racers took the track competing against their divisions in hopes of qualifying for national events and extending their rankings.

"We have over 500 riders today from all over the United States, anywhere from Florida to Nevada. They come from all over the country to race the start of the NBL 2008 season." said Danny Acord, Chehaw BMX Parent's Association.

Several racers at Saturday's competition hold professional and world rankings and hope to earn a spot on the 2008 US Olympic BMX Team which will compete in Beijing.
