Valdosta -- Valdosta State running back and Americus-native Michael Turner scored the touchdown the go-ahead touchdown with five-minutes left in the game, and the Blazers rally for a 27-24 win Saturday against North Alabama.
Both teams are now 7-1, and 5-1 in the Gulf South Conference.
Turner led VSU with 88 yards rushing on 16 carries, while Willie Copeland completed 24-36 passes for 252 yards and a touchdown.
Valdosta State travels to face Arkansas-Monticello next week at 7pm.
