Albany -- Dougherty County is still under level two water restrictions.

These restrictions limit the use of outdoor watering of lawns and car washing.

The restrictions are not only in place for residents, but affect local businesses as well.

Water Gas and Light warns weekend charity car washes are not permitted during the restrictions.

"What we are seeing is that fast food restaurants, drug stores are allowing people to do these non-profit car washes. And they are absolutely not acceptable unless you did them before ten in the morning," said Lorie Farkas of WG&L.

Water Gas and Light does encourage a non-water car washing technique that the whole state has also adopted.

Anyone interested in details can call Water Gas and Light.
