Thomasville - The three-way tie in region 1-AA was cut two last week in Blakely.
Friday night in Thomasville, there will be only one team left unbeaten in the region.
The 8th ranked Bulldogs will host 3rd ranked Fitzgerald who one week ago won a thriller against Early County.
The Purple Hurricanes have won 29 strai
ght region games and that streak started one week after a loss to Thomasville in 2003. The Bulldogs started this season with two straight losses but have rolled to five straight wins since opening region play.
Thomasville head coach Richie Marsh said "They knew once we got in our region and done the things we needed to do and being we played Cairo the way we played them they knew things were going to come around."
Thomasville hosts Fitzgerald Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
