Albany - It will be blue and gold day throughout the entire County for Albany State University's Homecoming this weekend. On Wednesday, County Commission Chairman Jeff Sinyard signed a proclamation in honor of the festivities for the homecoming weekend.

In addition to bringing 25,000 people into the area for the weekend, about $3 Million is poured into the economy throughout the week. "Thank you very much on behalf of the faculty, staff, students and most importantly alumni of Albany State University. We're all grateful for your support," said President Dr. Everette Freeman.

Homecoming is this weekend. The Rams will take on Morehouse College at 3 PM Saturday. At 9AM, a homecoming parade will travel down Pine Avenue celebrating the event.
