Hampton, GA -- Area softball teams played in the Sectional tournament Saturday, looking to advance to the state playoffs.
At the AAAAA level, Lowndes beats Houston County 3-2 on a walk-off home-run in the bottom of the seventh.
Tift County needed to travel through the losers bracket, and also qualify for the Elite Eight with a 3-2 win over the Lady Bears.
Lee County bounced back from its first loss in the tournament to beat Northside Warner Robins 1-0 and advanced in AAAA.
Seminole County came up one win shy of qualifying in Class-A.
Lowndes, Tift County, and Lee County will all play in the State Elite Eight tournment next weekend in Columbus.
