Albany - As expected the Darton Cllege women's soccer team is ranked number one in this week's National Junior College poll for a third straight season.
The Lady Cavs moving up from second to first after region rival Young Harris lost twice last week.
With the state tournament next weekend, it means Darton will certainly carry that number one bullseye into the postseason.
Head coach Ken Veilands has no problem with everyone wanting to beat his number one ranked team.
Ken Veilands said "For the players, it is good for the effort they put into to it. For the program, it is good. At the end of the day, what does it mean? well , only one can be number one. So, it feels good."
The Darton women will try to finish the regular season unbeaten when they play at Middle Georgia Wednesday night in Cochran.
