Boy Scout Fundraiser Draws Crowd

October 16, 2007

Albany -- Hundreds of people came out to the Potter Community Center Tuesday to support Boy Scouts.

The Southwest Georgia Boy Scout Council serves about 3,000 boys.

Their annual wild game dinner and auction allows scouts to continue important leadership and community service activities.

"A lot of the training materials we get are provided by the council and these dollars we get support them putting on scouting week end and week out throughout the community," says Scout Executive Ray Allen.

The event has taken place for fifteen years.
