Albany -- In a press conference this afternoon, the Albany Police Department announced the arrest of 20-year-old Kasaem Toomer, for the murder of 19-year-old Justin Cox, whose body was pulled from the Flint River on October 4th.

Police officials say that Toomer and Cox got into an argument October third at the Turner boat landing on the river, which led to fisticuffs, ending in Cox's death. His body was discovered by people fishing in the area a day later.

Cox's family proclaimed from the beginning that their son had been murdered. APD says that Toomer has confessed to killing Cox.

APD has also arrested a man known as Lorenzo Williams, who is in his late teens or early twenties, as a person of interest in the case. They plan to charge him with murder, also.

Cox was the ninth murder in Albany this year, and arrests have been made in all nine.
