Berrien sheriff voting underway

October 16, 2007

Nashville --  About 500 voters cast ballots this morning in the runoff election for Berrien County sheriff.

Anthony Heath and Timothy Jernigan were the top vote getters from a field of eight candidates in the September primary.

One of them will succeed Jerry Brogdon who resigned in August.

Election officials described today's voting as steady but light. They are hoping for an after-work crowd.

Polls close at 7:00 PM.
