AFD investigating shopping center fire

Albany -- Fire investigators still aren't sure what caused an early morning fire in east Albany that damaged several businesses.

Shortly before 3 a.m. Monday, firefighters were called out to the Shackleford Shopping Center at 109 South Broadway.

They say the fire started inside High Dollar Fashion and spread to two other businesses.

All five businesses in the shopping center sustained smoke damage.

No one was inside the building when the fire started.

Investigators they should know the cause by Wednesday.
