Man shot 3 times outside Cordele nightclub

October 13, 2007

Cordele -- An altercation between two men outside a Cordele nightclub ended in gunfire early Saturday morning.

The shooting took place outside of The Clubb located at 801 South 11th St. around 1:40 Saturday morning.

Cordele Police say an unidentified gunman shot 24-year-old Meddric Glover three times and then drove off.

Glover was transported to Crisp Regional Hospital where he was treated and released. Police say the gunman is described as a black man, with shoulder length dread-locks.

Saturday's incident was the second shooting at The Clubb in less than a month. On September 14th, 17-year-old Andrew Fields was seriously wounded after a gunman shot him in the neck at close range.

Anyone with information that might have been at The Clubb at the time of the shooting is asked to contact Detective Sales with the Cordele Police Department at 229-276-2926.
