Cairo- Westover High defeated Worth County 6-2 on Thursday to advance to Saturday's championship game of the Region 1-AAA tournament.
Worth County will play Crisp County on Saturday morning with the winner facing the Lady Patriots for the region title.
Westover is unbeaten and has to lose twice Saturday.
Crisp County defeated top seed Cairo 6-2 in a game that lasted 11 innings.
The region 1-AAAAA tournament started Thursday in Valdosta.
Tift County defeated Valdosta and Lowndes to advance to Saturday's final four.
Colquitt County defeated Coffee in a play-in game but lost 8-0 to Lowndes.
Valdosta High then beat Colquitt County.
Lowndes then edged Valdosta 1-0 to advance to Saturday's final four.
Tift County will play Houston County on Saturday.
the winner plays top seed Warner Robins and the loser plays Lowndes.
The championship game in the 1-AAAAA softball tournament starts at 4:00pm Saturday.
