Ray City - A South Georgia mayor is asking neighboring communities to help him rid the region of drugs.

Ray City Mayor Carl Camon says drugs are a problem on the street of Berrien County and in Ray City.

He's now appealing to Law Enforcement Agencies in Lowndes, Lanier, Berrien and other neighboring counties to team up and fight the war on drugs in an effort to reclaim the streets all over the region  "The drug problem doesn't see county lines. It goes from one place to the next. I expect that these departments will help us but we just need to get together and collaborate on how we can make that happen," Camon says.

Camon says he'll also appeal to whoever is elected Sheriff of Berrien County in next weeks run-off election.
