Dougherty County--  A teenager is hospitalized after a shooting in Dougherty County.

It happened after 9:00 Wednesday night in the 3300 block of War Eagle Avenue. Police say they originally responded to a 911 hangup in the same block when officers heard gunshots.

They then responded to 3303 War Eagle where they found the victim, 18-year-old Brandon Parks. He was taken to a local hospital, where at last check he was in critical condition.

Investigators say Parks was visting the home, and arguing over a gun with Kavoski Ware, when Ware shot him. Police have now taken out an arrest warrant on Ware.

Police say a nine-milimeter Smith and Wesson pistol was recovered at the house.

Police say Ware and another man, Emit Hunt, fled after the shooting. They are still looking for Hunt as a person of interest in the case.

Ware and Hunt are both eighteen.
