Tifton -- A big announcement will be made in Tift County Thursday morning, and it will likely mean more jobs.
This news comes just weeks after two local companies, Tifton Aluminum and Prestolite Wire Corporation, announced they were shutting down operations.
While it is not known how many jobs this will mean for the area, it is expected to give some hope to recently laid off workers.
The announcement will be made Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Tifton-Tift County Chamber of Commerce.
