Albany -- The family of a Lee County teenager found dead in the Flint River Thursday night found one of his shoes in the river Tuesday.

Family and friends of 19 year old Justin Cox went to the Turner Boat Landing Tuesday afternoon to look at the spot where his body was found. While there, they found one of the shoes that Cox was wearing when he was beaten to death.

Investigators now have the shoe as evidence. Cox was last seen Wednesday night. His body was found the next night.

Police and the Cox family ask anyone with information about Justin Cox, or saw anything at the Boat Landing or at the Civic Center where Cox's white Cadillac was found Thursday night, to call CRIME STOPPERS at 436-TIPS.
