Albany - Albany Police are questioning two suspects in a string of robberies, including the holdup of a WALB-TV meteorologist.
Today in Georgia meteorologist Chris Zelman was robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of the WALB-TV studios July 6th. Tuesday Police are questioning suspects that were involved in that robbery.
Police say the robbers apparently spotted Chris at an intersection on Stuart Avenue at 3:30 that morning and followed him here to the station. They stopped just down the street and one of them ran into the parking lot and robbed Chris as he stepped out of his car.
Investigators think that the same people who robbed Chris could be involved in other violent armed robberies in Northwest Albany, including the Video Warehouse robbery on North Slappey July 9th.
In that robbery two men wearing shirts over their faces boldly robbed the store, shouting and waving guns at the employees.
