Worth County heads into region on a high note

October 8, 2007

Sylvester -- The Worth County football team picked up a big win over the Friday night, knocking off Lee County in Sylvester.

The Rams had trouble buying a victory the last two weeks, losing by a combined ten points.

Worth County now heads into region play on a high note, and open up the Region 1-AAA schedule against Monroe.

Rams head coach Harris Rainbow says his team is hitting its stride at the right time.

"Part of our biggest problem this year has been getting over that hump, and hopefully we got over the hump this week," says Rainbow. "Unfortunately we got what I think is one of the best teams in the state coming in here to play us this Friday in Monroe, so we have our hands full."

Worth County hosts Monroe Friday night at 7:30 pm.
