Rams remain in first

October 8, 2007

Albany -- It was the same old song-and-dance for the Albany State football team this weekend against Miles College:  Strong defense, a strong run game, and another conference win.

Junior Demetrice Johnson and sophomore LiRonnie Davis each ran for 103 yards in the 20-6 win.

It's the fourth win in a row for the Rams, and keeps ASU tied for first place in the SIAC.

Albany State head coach Mike White says his team isn't playing as well as he'd like, but they're still in good position.

"We're still in first place," says White. "We've still got a couple teams we need to play and beat. Each game is going to be a big game to win the conference championship."

Albany State plays at Clark Atlanta Saturday at 6pm.
