Baker county-- Twenty-two year-old Kyle Boss crashed in a field on a plantation on Highway 91 near the Baker-Mitchell county line.

Boss, a student pilot, took off from the Decatur county airport Friday afternoon for a cross-country flight to Eufala, Alabama.  But he never arrived and a search was launched for him.

A Baker county farmer says he saw the plane heading straight down at 4:41 Friday afternoon, but didn't think anything about it because it was a crop dusting plane. After he saw the story about the missing plane on the news, he called investigators.

The wreckage was spotted today by the Civil Air Patrol. The FAA is investigating the crash.
