Former GSW employee charged with theft

Americus --  A former office worker at  Georgia Southwestern State University is charged with stealing from the school. 

35-year-old Stephanie Jackson Young is charged with 28 counts of first degree forgery and 28 counts of theft by deception.

Investigators say Young forged her GSW supervisor's name on invoices made to the Plains Junior Woman's Club, and worked for the University under the Elderhostel Program.

She was Plains Woman of the Year several years ago.
