Albany -- The Georgia Department of Transportation will suspend a paving project this weekend to aid traffic flow to the Georgia National Fair in Perry.

State Transportation officials say a paving project on I-75 just north of the Perry Fair grounds in Houston County will be suspended Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. They want to make sure that project does not slow added traffic expected for the State Fair, which gets underway Thursday.

Construction projects south of Perry on I-75 are not expected to cause traffic problems, and will not be changed.
