Thomasville --  Investigators are trying to piece together a puzzling shooting in Thomas County.

Just before midnight Monday night, investigators got a call to a home on Lyons Lane where a man had been shot twice in the leg.

Investigators say the man told them he accidentally shot himself.

"At this point in time, we're not sure what happened," said Inv. Bob Brettel of the Thomas County Sheriff's Office.  "But we're just treating it as we would any shooting investigation, just doing a routine customary investigation on it to determine what the facts are."

The 43-year-old victim was rushed to Archbold Hospital. Investigators say he should fully recover.
