Meth suspects had previous run-ins

October 1, 2007

Lee County - - As Lee County authorities continue a methamphetamine investigation, we've learned one of the suspects recently finished a drug-related prison sentence.

32 year old Kasey Ellis Shirah is one of four people arrested last week after the discovery of a mobile meth lab on Highway 32.

Turns out., she was just released on parole from an Alabama prison in May after a 2005 conviction on six counts of drug possession.

One of the other suspects, Charlie Haire, was wanted on a probation violation warrant also connected to previous drug charges.

Investigators are still looking for a fifth suspect.

The bust of the rolling lab shut down the Highway for hours and led authorities to a home in the Dixon Mobile Home Park where Shirah was arrested.
