Albany -- The Albany State football team won its third straight conference game, as the Rams beat Benedict College 29-25.
ASU took a 6-0 lead in the first quarter with a 4-yard touchdown run by Brian Porter, and then Terry McGhee would return a Tiger fumble 95-yard for a touchdown to push the lead to 12.
The Rams extra-point would be blocked, and Michael Thompson brought it back the length of the field for a 2-point play, and a 12-2 score.
Albany State led 15-5 at halftime, and held off Benedict four the 4-point win.
Gary Neavins and Demetrius Johnson added touchdown runs for ASU.
Quarterback Kisan Flakes completed 10-of-20 passes for 148 yards.
The Rams are on the road next week as they travel to face Miles College.
