Thomasville-- Investigators say they arrested Brent Nastally for stealing copper wiring out of a power substation.  After a copper theft at one substation earlier this week, deputies staked another one across town and caught Nastally climbing over the barbed wire fence enclosure.

Investigator Jason Carroll with the Thomas County Sheriff's Office says, "By doing this, the substation's going to have to get shutdown to replace this wiring. That in turn's going to shut down power for some of the city of Thomasville, rural areas, on both of these two substations."

Nastally is charged with theft by taking, criminal damage to property, and criminal trespassing.
