Albany -- The biggest game in the area taking place in Hugh Mills Stadium Friday night, with undefeated Monroe hosting 4-0 Thomas County Central.
Both teams are ranked in the top ten in the Associated Press Georgia high school football poll, with the Jackets 3rd in AAAA, and the Tornados 8th in AAA.
TCC got the best of Monroe last season, trouncing the Tornadoes 42-0 in Thomasville.
That was the only regular season loss for Monroe in 2006.
The Tornados have a chance for payback on their home field tonight, and Monroe senior Wendell Pringle says his team can't make any mistakes against Thomas County Central.
"We've been playing pretty good," says Pringle. "We got to do some things to improve, but we've been doing pretty good."
Thomas County Central Coach Ed Pilcher says, "The schedule doesn't get any easier. You go from one top ten team to another, and next week probably another top ten team. We're right in the meat of our schedule right now, and playing some really quality folks."
The Tornados and Jackets kick-off Friday night at 7:30 pm at Hugh Mills Stadium.
