Albany -- Albany Police continue to search for the gun used in Monday's murder of Norma Faircloth.

She was found shot to death in her Nottingham North Apartment, and her husband is charged with her murder.

45 year old Ronnie Faircloth is being held without bond in the Dougherty County Jail, charged with murder.

Norma Faircloth's body was found in her apartment kitchen Monday night about 10:45. She had been shot in the head. Investigators have been searching for the murder weapon in the field's behind the apartment on Nottingham Way, and in Lee County near the Faircloth home.

Norma had moved to the Albany apartment Friday, separating from her husband.

Police say Ronnie Faircloth was sitting outside the apartment drinking a beer when they arrived to the emergency call.

His first appearance hearing before a Judge was held Tuesday morning.
