Dougherty County  -- A Dougherty County teenager charged with attacking and robbing his Grandmother is now in jail in Alabama.

Jamichael Kinchen faces armed robbery and kidnapping charges.

Investigators say Kinchen hit his 58 year old grandmother Barbara Jordan in the head with a cooking pot Sunday night, then tied her up with phone cord.  He threatened to kill her unless she gave him her ATM card and personal id number. She was not badly injured.

Police say he then stole her 1996 Mercedes and headed to Alabama .

Etowah County Sheriff's Deputies arrested him Wednesday morning at a motel in the Gadsden, Alabama area.

Dougherty County Police have started extradition orders, charging Kinchen with nearly a dozen felonies.
