Valdosta - A Valdosta teacher accused of sexual misconduct with two young students is out of jail on bond but school administrators say he won't be allowed back to work.  At least any time soon.

28-year-old Jeremy Bennett is charged with two counts of sexual battery against two little girls.

Bennett is a second grade teacher at Sallas Mahone Elementary School.

The school board said his background check was clear and this is the first incident reported about him.

They won't discipline him until an investigation is over.  "They must have though they had enough evidence to take out a warrant for his arrest and certainly we want to with hold any type of judgement until the legal process is concluded. But certainly we could not afford to have him remain in the school as this process continues," says Superintendent Sam Allen.

Bennett is suspended with pay.
