Teen rips off his own granny

September 25, 2007

Albany -- Dougherty County Police are searching for a 17-year-old teenager, who hit his Grandmother in the head with a pot, tied her up, and stole her car and ATM cards.

Dougherty County Police have issued arrest warrants for Jamichael Kinchen, charging him with armed robbery, kidnapping, and several other charges.

Late Sunday night Investigators say Kinchen hit his 58-year-old grandmother Barbara Jordan in the head with a kitchen pan at her home on Meadow Woods Drive.

Police say Kinchen tied her up with phone cord, and told her he would kill her if she did not give him the PIN number for her ATM card.

Kinchen stole her 1996 Silver Mercedes, and police believe headed to Alabama, where he has other family.

Jordan was not seriously injured in the attack.

If you have any information about Jamichael Kinchen, call the Dougherty County Police or CRIME STOPPERS, at 436-TIPS.
