Albany - - Seventeen year old Dearious Williams is still recovering after a suspected gang member shot him four times last week.

The Monroe High School honor student's friends are logging on to Myspace.

They created a special page to encourage him. Some of his friends are even putting Williams' picture on their own profiles.

They're saying things like "get well soon." One person said "it's time for a change" regarding violence.

Albany police believe a gang member shot Williams while he was outside with his two younger brothers. But investigators say they don't believe the 17 year old is in a gang himself.

Investigators say they have a suspect in the shooting, and are asking for information about gangs in Albany.  Call CRIME STOPPERS at 436-TIPS.
