Albany - New jobs are coming to Albany. Procter and Gamble is expected to announce the expansion of an existing line at the Albany plant. That should bring about 30 new jobs to the area.

Chamber of Commerce President Tim Martin says anytime a company that's in Albany chooses to reinvest in the community, it adds to the economic viability.

He said, "It's nice to have new industry come to town, but its nicer to have local industry who knows who you are, knows the coal business climate and still has faith in who we are."

Dougherty County Commission Chairman Jeff Sinyard said, "For them to look at a Global economy and for them to chose something to bring to Albany and Dougherty County says a lot of good things about our community."

An announcement with more information is planned for Tuesday morning at 10.
